It was worth the trip from Porter county! We ate lunch and then made a haul of food to bring back home to serve up at a later date. Homemade, scratch sausages and frozen pasta stuffed shells , ravioli and his spaghetti sauces along with his Italian beef with AuJus to be enjoyed with our extended family at a later date!
I have not been to a deli that is so clean! First of all, Tony and his staff are amazing and very thorough. He’s precise and will work with you on anything! The amount of meat, olives, and cheese I purchased for my daughter’s charcuterie boxes for prom was reasonable and nothing short of fresh and flavorful! From service to food, everything was pleasant. I’ll be back!
This Deli is top notch. I enjoyed a nice afternoon with my aunt and uncle. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the owner. He truly was a kind man. My uncle and him hit it off right away. We tried both hot and cold sandwiches, pastas, fresh octopus and Greek olives. We also took some goodies home. Everything was FRESH and I don’t say that lightly. The place was very clean and well kept. Loved the deli meat is cut with each sandwich. I would recommend it to anyone and plan to come back soon! Thank you for a great meal and great service!
Nice Italian deli with basic fresh options and lots of shelf and frozen options that are either imported or made from scratch. We bought items to make a sandwich and took it home and ate it right away. DO NOT PASS UP THE TOMATO FOCACCIA. It reminded me of some the excellent sandwiches I would get in Chicago. We will definitely buy one every single time we stop in. I was tempted to try one of their fresh desserts but at 5 each I couldn't pull the trigger. (Maybe I'm just ignorant to the going rate as I rarely buy fresh to go desserts.) But I'm sure they would have been delicious as they looked it! Owner (I'm assuming, or manager but definitely got the owner vibe) was super kind. We definitely come back to local places that treat you like family!
I heard good things about this deli. I love Italian grocery stores. I got the wise guy sub and the canoli. It was great. Glad to see Illinois isn't the only place with good Italian markets. I did a review for my YouTube channel "Mailman Nick"
I have longed for an Italian beef sandwich that has that special Italian flavor and I got it at Tony's. Great food and very nice friendly help. Thank you my friend for a great meal for me and my wife. We loved it. Rick
Stopped in for sandwich and salad that were both fantastic. Had to try a cannoli which was being made right then. It was so yummy!!! Left with a jar of vodka sauce too that we can't wait to try. Great experience! Bring cash if you go because of extra fee for credit card!
This deli doesn’t deserve anything less than 5 stars. This was our first time. Went with my husband and kids. The paninis were delicious. The bread was so fresh. The Caesar salad was amazing! Very reasonably priced. Will be back again.
